A little bit about me...

If only I had known what I was supposed to be when I grew up! 

It would have been nice to know right out of high school how much the world of finances would intrigue me. After attending a trade school to be a medical assistant, I fumbled my way through a few administrative positions at medical practices, some small, family owned businesses, a large brokerage firm, and then a huge pharmaceutical corporation. I was married in 2007 and in 2009 we had a little girl. Our desire was for me to be a stay at home mom, but the entrepreneur in me wouldn't give up so easily. In my spare time, I owned and managed a children's retail consignment shop while running the office for our family's successful construction business. That's where I met my true love - bookkeeping.

It came quite natural to me so I continued to build my skill set with various online courses and certifications. I sold the consignment shop so I could continue on this path and eventually took a position as a Staff Accountant for a small company in Perkasie where I added Payroll Manager to my list as a second love. I outgrew that position, leading me to my most recent few years at a highly reputable accounting firm in their bookkeeping department. Within 6 months, I was promoted to Bookkeeping Services Coordinator and earned a slew of more certifications and gained a wealth of knowledge about virtual bookkeeping practices, managing a dozen or more clients with tailored needs from one end of the spectrum to the other.

These days I find myself in the role of a single mom with a teenager under foot, whose social calendar is busy enough to drive a monkey over the edge! Thus, making my move to open my own virtual bookkeeping company, lending me the flexibility I need to be a hands-on mom, with the challenge I crave as a strong-willed, independent business woman.

... and I'm loving every minute of it.
